Curriculum

Senior Post Doc and Lecturer at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Venice, Italy) since 2013 (Research Assistant in 2013-2016). She holds a Master degree in Environmental Sciences at Ca’ Foscari (2002), and a PhD degree in Environmental Sciences at Ca’ Foscari (2007), completed with a Marie Curie fellowship at Wageningen University (Wageningen, The Netherlands). After that she has been working 6 years for Venice Research Consortium and 2 years as Post Doc Fellow at Ca’ Foscari. Her research interests are in Environmental Risk Assessment for contaminated sites (i.e. both terrestrial and aquatic systems; traditional and emerging pollutants) focusing on the development of integrated risk indexes based on the Weight of Evidence (WoE) approach, Safe by Design and Environmental impact assessment along the life cycle of innovative products, Sustainability Assessment by integrating the outcomes of Risk, Life Cycle, Economic and Social impact assessments and decision support systems (DSS). She has experience in development and application of bioaccumulation models and in the species sensitivity distribution (SSD) concept. She has experience in coordination of multidisciplinary research groups and is involved in international/national project proposals and development. She is currently leading WP6 “Environmental Impact” of the EU H2020 NANORESTART “NANOmaterials for the REStoration of works of ART” project. She is member of SETAC Europe since 2004. She is member of the Advisory Board of the scientific journal Environmental Sciences Europe since 2011 and member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management (IEAM) since January 2015. Since August 2015 she is founding partner as well as member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of GreenDecision s.r.l., spin off participated by the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
